Sandhills Feeders

The Right Partner
SandHills Feeders partners with cattle producers who value data, discipline, and long-term genetic integrity. Our development program is not designed for every operation—and that is intentional.
We work best with producers who understand that how cattle are developed matters just as much as the genetics behind them.
Seedstock Producers
We primarily serve seedstock breeders developing:
· Replacement heifers
· Yearling and coming two-year-old bulls
· Performance-tested steers tied to genetic programs

Our program is built to accurately express genetic potential without sacrificing soundness, fertility, or longevity. Development targets are customized to protect feet, structure, and reproductive performance—never pushed for short-term appearance.
Producers Developing Their Own Replacements
We work with commercial and registered producers who:
· Retain ownership of replacement females
· Want predictable, controlled development costs
· Prefer transparency over guesswork

Efficient cattle are rewarded in our system. Better gain means fewer days on feed and lower total cost—keeping more dollars with the owner.
Bull Development Programs
Our yard is well suited for bull development where:
· Moderate, consistent gain is required
· Structural integrity is a priority
· Buyers expect bulls that will hold up long-term

This is not a high-powered finishing program. Bulls are developed to stay athletic, fertile, and functional in real-world conditions.

We Are A Strong Fit For
Operations That Value Transparency. Producers who expect:
· Clear cost structure
· Locked-in feed pricing
· Monthly performance reporting
· 24/7 live camera access to their cattle
· Open communication

If you want to know exactly what your cattle are being fed, how they are managed, and how they are performing, this program is designed for you.

Who This Program Is NOT For
To protect our customers and cattle, this program may not be a good fit for:
-
Sale barn or high-risk cattle
-
Producers seeking rapid, unreasonable gains
-
Operations unwilling to follow established health and biosecurity standards

This focus allows us to maintain consistent health, performance, and accountability for every set of cattle in the yard.

We believe:
-
Cattle should be developed, not forced
-
Numbers matter more than hype
-
Transparency builds trust
-
Efficient genetics should be rewarded

If that aligns with your operation, we’d welcome the opportunity to work with you.

About Us
SandHills Feeders was built out of necessity — not an idea on paper.
Like most producers, we spent years developing cattle at home. We know the work, the feed bills, and the long days — and we also know the satisfaction of watching good cattle do what they’re supposed to do. What we didn’t always know was exactly what development was costing, or how clearly those costs tied back to results. Too often, development expenses were spread across labor, equipment, weather, and time. The cattle were cared for, but the numbers weren’t always as clear as they could be.
SandHills Feeders was created to bring that clarity.
SandHills Feeders isn’t here to replace how you run your operation.

It’s here to support it.
