This can be customized to fit your particular goals. This program is designed specifically for producers focused on beef production, not breeding or seedstock selection. Cattle enrolled in this program are developed strictly for growth, efficiency, and endpoint readiness.

Development Phases Included

Phase 1: Grower Development (Up to 900 lbs)

  • $5.00 per head per day

  • Controlled, efficient gain

  • Focus on frame, muscle development

Phase 2: Extended Development (900 lbs to 1,500 lbs)

  • $6.50 per head per day

  • Increased intake and management

  • Steers pushed toward harvest-ready endpoints within responsible limits

Cattle progress seamlessly from Phase 1 into Phase 2.

This program does not include:

  • Seedstock evaluation

  • Replacement female development

From Weaning to Beef — Simplified

Example steer:

  • Entry weight: 500 lbs

  • Target weight: 1,500 lbs

  • Total gain: 1,000 lbs

​

Estimated development costs:

  • 500 → 900 lbs: ~160 days × $5.00 = $800

  • 900 → 1,500 lbs: ~240 days × $6.50 = $1,560

  • Total development cost: ~$2,360

Efficiency Example:

  • 25 days saved in Phase 2 = $162.50 per head

  • 100 head = $16,250 retained
