Every set of cattle comes in at a different stage. Our development options are structured to meet cattle where they are, put them on the right track, and carry them forward with clear pricing and defined goals.

Our program is designed to protect longevity, fertility and structure while keeping costs known from Day 1.

Post Weaning & Backgrounding

$6.00 per head per day | 30-day program.

This option is designed to:

Transition calves smoothly after weaning
Establish consistent intake and routine
Reduce stress before long-term development
Set cattle up to perform efficiently going forward

After the initial 30 days, cattle can roll directly into the standard development program.

For ranch-raised, ranch-trace cattle coming directly post weaning.

This program is more in depth, more time consuming and carries more risk. The extra cost is factoring these things in, to make sure your cattle are taken care of to the best of our ability.

Includes:

Feed, mineral, and yardage
Controlled transition ration
Daily observation and health monitoring
Entry into the development system

Standard Development Program

$5.00 per head per day | Up to 900 lbs

Designed for:

Replacement heifers
Seedstock bulls
Steers retained for development

For cattle that are already backgrounded and eating well upon arrival.

This is the core development phase focused on:

Measured, controlled gain
Structural integrity
Fertility protection
Cost predictability

Cattle remain in this phase until reaching approximately 900 lbs, with gain targets agreed upon at arrival.

Extended Development Program

$6.50 per head per day | 900 lbs to 1,500 lbs

For cattle continuing past 900 lbs, including:

Bull development
Retained ownership cattle
Sale-ready seedstock

This phase emphasizes:

Continued structural soundness
Athleticism and longevity
Honest expression of genetics

Costs increase slightly to reflect:

Higher intake
Increased management
Additional infrastructure demands

Full Development Program

(Optional add-ons included)

Producers who choose the full development path — from backgrounding through extended development — gain access to additional data and evaluation tools.

Optional: SmartFeed Trial on Bulls

Individual intake and behavior data
Feed efficiency insights
Additional decision-making information for selection or marketing

SmartFeed participation is optional and available for bull development cattle upon request.

Additional Costs

Chute Fee
$10.00 per head | Includes labor and equipment
This fee only applies when a customer requests services outside of our standard offerings.

Veterinary Costs
Pricing will vary depending on the specific work requested.

Medication Costs
Additional medication costs apply to every project and request. Pricing will be provided prior to any work being performed.

Pen Breeding
$6.50 per bull per day feed cost.
This cost applies to producers who choose to breed heifers within the pens. If we provide the bull, additional lease cost apply.
