Frequently Asked Questions

How fast are cattle developed?

Rates of gain are owner-directed. We work with you to develop cattle at a pace that protects structural integrity, fertility, and long-term performance—never pushing cattle beyond responsible targets.

Are cattle ever mixed with others?

No. Each owner receives dedicated pen space. Cattle are only commingled if you request to feed alongside a partner or customer of your choosing.

What type of cattle are accepted?

We focus on seedstock-quality cattle. No sale barn or freshly purchased cattle are housed in the same yard to protect herd health and biosecurity.

How often are cattle checked?

Cattle are visually checked at least twice daily, with additional observation during feeding and handling.

How is health managed?

All health decisions follow veterinarian-approved protocols. Treatments are administered only when necessary and documented. Medication costs are billed only if treatment occurs.

What reporting do I receive?

Owners receive monthly check weights and performance summaries. Additional updates can be provided upon request.

Can I see my cattle while they’re on feed?

Yes. Each pen is equipped with live cameras, allowing you to view your cattle and facilities at any time.

What happens if an animal gets sick or is lost?

In the event of sickness, cattle are treated according to established protocols. A catastrophic insurance policy is in place to help manage unforeseen losses. Full policy details are available upon request.

Is this a finishing yard?

This is a development-focused program, not a terminal feedyard. The goal is sound, fertile, athletic cattle that represent your genetics accurately. However, if you do want to have your steers finished for your beef business we can tailor a program for that.

What does the $5.00 per head per day include?

Feed, mineral, yardage, daily care, facility use, data collection, and insurance coverage. The only additional cost is medication if treatment is required.
